The wrestling season is on its way. It’s always hard to figure things out during Pre-Season, but now that we are in the 2nd week of the season you can get a good idea. It’s going to be a great season.

1. Marshwood- The Hawks look to defend their title this year and they have the talent to do it. Everything starts at the top with their Coach. He gets the most out of his wrestlers every year.

2. Noble- The Knights have a new coach this year, but Coach Kevin Gray has been in the program and knows the Noble way. He will get them ready to compete and make a run at the title.

3. Cony- The Rams look to take that next step this year in the A North. They have the team to do it. The won the Gardiner tournament.

4. Skowhegan- The Indians look to get back at top of the A North this year. They looked impressive by winning the FSB Mt. Valley Tournament.

5. Oxford Hills- The Vikings had a great year last year, but they are looking to do it year after year. They had a great showing at the FSB Mt. Valley Tournament by finishing in 2nd place.

6. Wells- The Warriors are the defending Class B State Champions. They have the same key wrestlers to win it again this year. They have the best wrestlers at 195, 220, and 285.

7. Mattawnacook Academy- The Lynx look to take over the reigns as the top team in the Class B North this year. They have a great core of seniors and some tough freshman in their lineup. They won the PVHS Tourney by beating FA.

8. Foxcroft Academy- The defending Conference and Regional B North Champions will be ready for the challenge. They return an experience team. They finished in 4th place at the FSB Mt. Valley Tournament.

9. Camden Hills- The Windjammers look to improve from last year’s showing at Class A States. They have high standards for their program and will be ready to take that step.

10. Nokomis- The Warriors have a tough group wrestlers coming back this
year. They look to make some noise at the Class A North.
