Sanford comes back in second half to forge a tie
The Spartans, hoping for a repeat playoff appearance, score with 21 minutes left in regulation for the tie with Scarborough.

... Following Tuesday’s 2-2 tie, both have the look of playoff teams.

Sanford second-year coach Chris Coleman was effusive about his team’s effort, which included a second-half flurry of shots to offset a 2-1 halftime deficit.

“To find yourself down 2-1 at halftime (is tough) but you could see how much the girls wanted it,” Coleman said. “We showed them, and some of the Class A coaches in the stands, just what we are – a force to be reckoned with, especially after that second-half performance.”

Sanford (1-0-1) tied the game at 2 with 21 minutes left in regulation off a corner.
