New Year's ski race

The first ski race of the year was held today in Caribou. The brutally cold temperatures didn't stop some winter enthusiasts from hitting the trails.

The racers were bundled up and ready to meet the challenge of the course and of the elements. The New Year's day race has been a tradition in the County for many years. First off it held in Westmanland and then after that race ended it was moved to Caribou for several year before being discontinued. The Northern Skiers Club helped to bring the race bac as a fundraiser for the Caribou Nordic Ski team. ... 78083.html
