Scots rumble past Blazes on big second half

Cat Biegel tallied four goals for Bonny Eagle on its trip to Westbrook on Tuesday, May 24. Biegel led among Scots scorers, although a number of her teammates contributed as well – the team posted 15 points to the Blazes’ two, after all.

“Good transitions, good passes on the transition,” said Bonny Eagle head coach Judy Martin, asked about the keys to her girls’ big W. “Being patient on offense – which is hard for them. Once they’re patient on offense and look for the good shots, it all comes together.”

Biegel began the scoring, though not as early in the action as the lopsided final might suggest. Indeed, Westbrook played strong defense throughout the uphill minutes, and the Scots needed almost 14 minutes to light the proverbial lamp. ... cond-half/
