By TOM CHARD..ROCKPORT — The Camden Hills crowd was already on its feet, clapping rhythmically before the opening tip Tuesday night. The tradition is to keep clapping and standing until the Windjammers score their first basket. As in most games, the faithful didn't have to wait long. The heavily favored Windjammers got possession and scored immediately. The crowd sat down. Camden Hills rolled to a 95-31 victory against Belfast.
by The WIZ..We’ll start off this weeks WIZ Words with some very sad and disturbing news. Indiana Faithfull of Cheverus H.S. career of playing high school basketball in the state of Maine is over. Why? Because of the 8 semester MPA playing rule where a player is allowed to play H.S. sports for 8 semesters only. Word spread very quickly this past Friday as the news broke that Indy was ineligible to play the rest of the season because he had already played three semesters over in Australia before coming to Maine to go to school and play basketball for Cheverus H.S. The reason this happened is that in Australia the school year starts in January thus creating and extra semester for Indy.
